HOW DO I ORDER SAMPLES, WALLPAPER AND FABRIC?
Danika Herrick is an independent artist and has all of her designs printed through Spoonflower based in North Carolina.
To order a design, please choose the pattern you are interested in on the Patterns Page. Click on the image and it will take you to all available colorways on Spoonflower. Choose your color.
For Fabric: choose the type of fabric you want the design printed on in the dropdown menu. Next choose your size (Yard, Fat Quarter or Swatch (sample). Enter your quantity and Add to Cart!
For Wallpaper or Home Decor: Below the Add to Cart Button you will see "Also Available in Wallpaper & Home Decor". Choose your Product. Choose the type of Wallpaper or Product. Choose your size and quantity and add to cart.
WHAT IF I NEED A CUSTOM COLOR OR SCALE?
We are happy to adjust color or scale to any of our current design! For simple scale adjustments please email us the link to the design with instructions of how you want the scale changed. There is no charge for scale adjustments.
For color changes involving 4 colors or less we ask that you fill out our CUSTOM FORM. We will need :
-the link to the design in question or the Design ID# (this can be found on the product's page near the bottom under Details)
-the colors you want to use (up to 4 hexcodes or paint colors from Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams.)
-instructions to let us know where you would like the colors placed or adjusted.
-what type of fabric or wallpaper you are planning to print on so we can adjust accordingly and send you a sample printed on that substrate for your approval.
Once you submit your form we will contact you with any questions and have your digital proof emailed to you in 1-3 business days. Please let us know if the proof looks correct and all colors are in their proper place. Upon approval we will order you a sample that will ship via USPS within a week. When you receive your sample and its to your liking you can order directly on Spoonflower. Simply enter the Design ID # into the search bar to go directly to your new design!
Color can be tricky. Every color/hexcode will read differently across all the substrates due to print process, printer calibration and even temperature and humidity. We try our best to get a s close as possible and match directly to charts printed on your substrate for best accuracy, but please expect that there can be subtle variations. If for any reason the sample printed drastically different we are happy to make a revision. Please contact us with images so we can correct.
WHY DOES THE SAME DESIGN PRINT DIFFERENTLY ON ANOTHER FABRIC OR WALLPAPER TYPE?
Color prints differently across all the substrates. There are many factors for this. First you must understand that Spoonflower does not use white ink in their printing process, and relies on the white base of the substrate. Some fabrics, especially synthetics, will have an optic white ground while others that have more natural fibers tend to be a little creamier. This difference in ground color will affect the inks that blend into them, creating subtle differences in how the colors read. Always order a sample if you plan on using the same color across several fabric or wallpaper types since color will vary and not match perfectly.
